Days after the revealing that land singer Rory Feek is not her biological father, Hopie Feek, which was raised by the star, weighs his public response.
Hopie, 36, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday 11 February that she was “extremely disappointed[ed]’Through a blog post that was shared earlier that day by Rory, in which he shared personal information of the history of the family, including her mother’s, who was previously married to the star.
Hopie grew up next to her sister Heidi, 38, in the conviction that Rory, who raised the girls after splitting their mother, was her father. But in an Instagram video that was shared on 8 February, she revealed that a recent 23andMe test had determined that her biological father was actually a man named BC, with whom she has “really got close” in the last six months.
“I have never experienced so unconditional love,” she said in her video of meeting BC
Three days after Hopie had publicly shared the development, Rory, 59, discussed the news in a message shared on his blog entitled ‘A Different Dad’. The singer said he had sustained himself on 6 February when he called him out of nowhere and asked to speak personally. The two had not seen each other in a year and Rory wrote that her call “felt like an answer to a prayer.”
“I had no idea what she wanted to talk to me about. And to be honest, it didn’t matter to me. I just wanted to see her, “he wrote. “To have the chance to look into her eyes and her view in mine, hoping that she might realize that we are not enemies. And that I love her deep. And now looking back, I can’t help it, but think my wish came true. Although in a way I never expected. ‘

In a conversation that took place at the cemetery where Rory’s deceased wife Joey is buried, Hopie shared with him the results of her 23andme test, which she had taken after her mother said there was a good chance that Rory was not her biological father.
In response, Rory said that, although he did not know, he was not completely surprised by the news. He further explained why he had always had suspicions that Hopie was not his, including how she arrived a few weeks past her expiry date, which was not tailored to when he had returned from an implementation of six months with the Mariniers. He also revealed that when he and his ex-wife divorced, he had asked Point Blank if Hopie was his child and was told that she was.
“I told Hopie that I think some of me knew. But more than that. I told her that I didn’t care. That this news and this blood test do not change for me. “I love you as my daughter and I will always do that,” he wrote.
Rory then shared details about the youth of Heidi and Hopie, including the few times they saw their mother as they grew up in the care of Rory. He continued to say that he was “grateful” for the chance to let Hopie know how much he loves her.
“I am disappointed and sad that it took three decades to learn this. But the truth is … I mainly hurt Hopie, “he wrote. “Hopie has such a soft heart, filled with childish miracle and light, even in the darkest days. It is heartbreaking that she has had to deal with such an incredible amount of pain and loss in her relatively short life. ”
The same day Hopie went to Instagram to express her frustration with Rory’s blog post and to write in a statement that when they spoke personally, her only request was that he is ‘friendly and my mother is not ashamed’, with whom Hopie has recently reconnected .
“Today he shared her private history in his blog, which is extremely disappointing,” she wrote. “I shared my story because I could no longer keep the secret to myself. I am really not a public person, but because Rory is that, my private life is satisfied for his fans (who are often online online). ”

She continued to say that she regrets Rory that she is bisexual, because she feels that he has used the information to sell books, and shared a clip of him who told the chapter in his memoir 2018 Once on a farm in which he discusses her sexuality.
“From now on I just wanted my stories of myself to tell and share,” she wrote. “I want to move forward and find happiness with the people who love me, far away from this online hate.”
The posts come months after Heidi, Hopie and Rory publicly talked about their disagreements about the care of Rory’s daughter Indiana, 10, which he shared with Joey. The older daughters of the star made attempts to reopen a communication line with the child, while Rory said he stopped allowing Indiana to visit Heidi and Hopie because they “refused to respect my wishes” then ” she was under care.
Heidi previously claimed that Indiana was not safe, because Rory and his new wife Rebecca raise her in Homestead Heritage, a faith-based community that Heidi claimed in an Instagram post has a “disturbing history” with regard to child safety and accusation of the Group triggerly denied.
Heidi was sued in September by Homestead heritage for slander, but said she will continue to speak out because of her sister.
“I really want to be able to be in the life of my little sister and I can’t. I try to do the right thing, “she told people earlier.
